CES: Did Parrot Invent An IPhone Controlled Hovercam?!

3D Televisions? Pffft. Tablet Computers? Whatever. eReaders? So 2009.

This year, the hottest item on the show floor was a toy. A kick ass, iPhone controlled, flying quadrocopter! This is the Parrot AR Drone, and it is awesome. But what does it offer the HHH filmmaker? How about two on-board cameras for starters. They haven't released any availability or pricing info yet.

Check out the video for details about those 2 cameras!

Geekiness Flies to New Heights with iPhone Controlled RC Hel

We spotted the Parrot AR.Drone quadricopter at CES. It uses an iPhone app to control its motion and includes augmented reality games that work with the iPhone. The AR. Drone is the first helicopter with automatic flight stabilization and includes a protective hull for inside flying.

CES 2010 Parrot AR.Drone in Action

The Parrot AR.Drone was by far one of the coolest gadgets we saw at CES 2010. We actually stumbled upon them in the iLounge Pavilion. Dead Sexy Mag was allowed into the cage to catch some great footage of the quadricoptor in action.

Conrad Quadrocopter 450 ARF

This was my second flight with the new rarely available Quadrocopter. It's ready built and has quite decent flight abilities as you can see in the vid.
The QC has plenty of power and should be able to carry some FPV equipment (cam, TX). The flighttime is good - I have no exact measurement yet but it should be around 10mins with 2000mah 3cell lipo.
